What did Balar build for Crowne Plaza Surfers Paradise?
Crowne Plaza Surfers Paradise is an IHG hotel on the Gold Coast, with rooms, restaurants, and meeting and event spaces a short walk from the beach. Balar Media Group designed and built the hotel's website on WordPress, and ran a video and photo location shoot with talent to fill it with the hotel's own imagery.
A hotel on the Gold Coast is competing with every other hotel on the strip, and with the booking sites. We built Crowne Plaza Surfers Paradise a website of its own, with its own photography.
Balar Media Group designed and built the hotel's website on WordPress, and ran a video and photo location shoot with talent to fill it with the hotel's own imagery. It is one of the IHG hotel websites we have delivered across Australia and New Zealand.
Hotel guests decide quickly, and mostly on a phone. The site leads with the property, keeps the booking in reach on every page and gives each reason to stay its own page. See more of our hotel and hospitality web design work.

Our Approach
Custom web design and website development for Crowne Plaza Surfers Paradise.
A hotel website built the way guests choose: see the place, check the dates, book.

The Challenge
The hotel needed a website that sold the stay itself: the rooms, the dining, the events spaces and the location, with a direct path to booking.
Stock imagery would not do that. The hotel also wanted real photography and video of the property, with people in it.
Our Approach
A full website build
Designed and built on WordPress: accommodation, dining, meetings and events, weddings and special offers, each with its own page and a booking bar that follows the visitor.
A location shoot with talent
We organised and ran a video and photo shoot at the hotel, with models, a cameraman and editing, so the site shows the real property.
The pattern for the hotels that followed
The build became the starting point for the Crowne Plaza hotel websites we delivered afterwards in Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra and New Zealand.
Hosting and updates
We hosted the site and handled updates, including the restaurant pages.

The Result
A complete hotel website with its own photography, and the model for the Crowne Plaza sites that came after it.
